Read an interview with Linda Glaser, author of  Hannah's Way  (Sydney Taylor Book Award in the Younger Readers Category) at This Messy Life !  A highlight: "This is a story about staying true to one’s traditions  but still wanting to “belong.” It’s also a story about ordinary children  who, through a simple act of kindness, become heroes.
